The FISH Short Story Prize, 2016
I was thrilled to hear that the short story "Conceptual" has been awarded third prize and was included in the FISH Anthology 2016. Thank you to judge Kevin Barry for noticing this piece. I enjoyed the Cork Literary Fesstival and meeting the FISH team and other winners in West Cork. The FISH Anthology is available form the FISH website, or you can read Conceptual here.

Short story writers dream of being included in the Bridport Anthology and with over 4,500 entries my luck was in with the short story "Beyond the Blind". I throughly enjoyed my trip to Bridport to receive the Highly Commended award from judge Jan Rogers, thank you! My first short story competition - although text now sadly lost, it had a quirky theme that one day will be rewritten ... I never met any of the group personally, but am indebted for the unexpected early confidence boost!
